Now in Karnataka also work is being done towards vaccinating more and more people. The pace of vaccinating people is also increasing in the Yadgir district.

There is a fear among the people here about getting the corona vaccine.

At present, the District Health Officer has collected the details of the people registered under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Implementation Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).

People are being vaccinated by going to the fields and workplaces to get the vaccines from the Gram Panchayat office.

Yadgir District Health Officer Indumati Patil said, “We are trying to find people in the villages as they are avoiding us from getting corona vaccine.

We have registered people under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA).

The details have been collected from the Gram Panchayat office and started going to the fields, workplaces.

He further said that the authorities are making great efforts to get more and more people vaccinated, but due to misinformation, people are hesitant to take the vaccine dose.

When people saw ASHA workers and health workers in Kanchugaranahalli village in the Yadgir district, they closed the doors of their homes and did not come out to get the vaccine.

When health department officials and ASHA workers reached the villages, they came to know that people are turning their backs due to a lack of adequate information about the vaccine.

Indumati Patil further said that due to lack of knowledge, people in rural areas of Yadagiri are not taking vaccines and try to avoid ASHA workers and health officials when they go to the village to vaccinate them.

Not only this, many villagers blocked the roads of health workers so that they could not reach their villages.

Let us inform you that Yadgir is one of the backward districts of Karnataka which has been affected due to corona infections.

There are about 123-gram panchayats, which include more than 515 villages.

The district has so far reported 206 deaths with 27,417 infected cases. Here 3,02,902 people have been vaccinated against corona with great difficulty.
