Antony Blinken said, America does not want a second cold war and advised China to follow international rules.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a much-anticipated speech on Thursday that we do not want conflict or a new Cold War.

On the contrary, we are trying to avoid both ie conflict and the cold war.

We are committed to protecting and strengthening international law, agreements, principles, and institutions, including those of the United States and China, the Secretary of State said, emphasizing some important issues.

Blinken spoke about China’s current policies while attending an event at George Washington University.

IPFO will rein in China’s influence.

During his 30-minute address, Blinken discussed the recent visit of US President Joe Biden to Japan and the Quad meet.

Blinken said, through the ‘Indo-Pacific Economic Framework’ (IPFO), many important issues such as digital economy, supply chain, clean energy, infrastructure, and corruption can be worked out.

A dozen countries including India have already become part of this framework. Let us tell you that America has joined hands with Indo-Pacific allies to reduce the growing influence of China.

On May 23, Joe Biden unveiled discussions on IPEF with a dozen initial partners, including India, which represents 40 percent of world GDP.

The IPFO includes India, Australia, Brunei, Indonesia, Republic of Korea, It includes 13 countries namely Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Significantly, China has raised many questions about the formation of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework.

Earlier, a statement was issued after the meeting of the leaders of Australia, India, Japan, and the US.

It said that the Quad pledged to invest more than USD 50 billion in infrastructure assistance and investment in the Indo-Pacific over the next five years.

In a joint statement issued after the conference, he said that we, the Quad countries, also share a commitment to resolve the debt issues, which have increased due to the epidemic in many countries.
