Spain’s Rafael Nadal continued his fine performance by registering his 300th Grand Slam career win to reach the third round of the second Grand Slam French Open tennis tournament of the year.

Nadal defeated Corentin Moutet of France 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in the second round to reach the third round. It is known that Nadal has landed here in search of his 14th title.

Nadal reaches third round: Before the French Open, he had been troubled by injury. Nadal will next face 26th seed Bottic van de Jandschulp of the Netherlands.

Earlier, Nadal had broken Moutet’s serve four times in the first two sets in the second round, but he himself made some mistakes at the start to give his opponent a 2-0 lead.

However, Nadal made a quick comeback, breaking Moutet’s serve again and winning match points. Nadal did not face any significant challenge from Moutet in the first two sets.

In the third set, Moutet showed some strength but Nadal did not let him stand in front of him for long.
