BCA to investigate a dispute between Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya, former cricketer raised the issue.
Former Indian cricket team all-rounder Irfan Pathan has demanded that the Baroda Cricket Association or BCA should investigate the dispute between all-rounder Deepak Hooda and captain Krunal Pandya.
Deepak Hooda accused Captain Krunal Pandya of indecent behavior and withdrew from the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. It all happened just before the tournament.
Pathan said that such incidents have an “adverse effect” on a player.
In fact, on Monday, Deepak Hooda wrote to the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) for allegedly informing him of his unavailability, claiming that Krunal Pandya had repeatedly abused him in front of other players and said He was stopped while training for the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Issuing a statement on social media, Irfan Pathan has now stated, “During the difficult times of this pandemic (coronavirus), in which the mental health of the player is highly valued, as they have to live in the bio-bubble and also One has to keep himself focused on the game, such events can adversely affect the player and should be avoided.
” Pathan, who played for Baroda for 17 years before moving to Jammu and Kashmir as a player-cum-mentor.
He has urged the BCA to look into the matter. He has said, “After being the former captain of Baroda and mentioning many youngsters.
I understand how important it is to have a harmonious environment where players can feel safe, play freely, and give their best for the team. If I have heard of Deepak Hooda. It is true, it is really shocking and disappointing.
No player should be treated like that. ” He further added, “I request all members of the BCA to look into it and condemn such actions, as they are not good for the game of cricket.”
The 36-year-old Pathan has played 29 Tests, 120 ODIs, and 24 T20 Internationals for the Indian team. He has said that BCA should also think of two players who performed well in the T20 tournament last year, but the team dropped him.
