BJP MLA T Raja Singh taken into preventive custody in Hyderabad: Telangana.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA T Raja Singh was on Friday taken into preventive custody by the police here when he was trying to reach a venue of stand-up comedian Munawwar Farooqui.

Police said Singh had allegedly threatened to damage the venue at Madhapur near here. Farooqui’s show is scheduled for Saturday.

Singh, an MLA from Hyderabad’s Goshamahal constituency, was taken into preventive custody from his residence in Mangalhat in the old city and would be released, police said.

The MLA also addressed the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president and state minister K. T. Rama Rao objected to the invitation to Farooqui.

Singh has alleged that Farooqui had insulted Hindu deities in his shows in the past and cases were also registered against him with the police.

Man threatens to attack Mumbai Police ‘like 26/11’, number Pakistani, security agencies on alert

A man made a call to the Traffic Control Cell of Mumbai Police on Friday night threatening an attack similar to the horrific 26/11 terror attack.

Highly placed sources in the police department told the leading media house that the threat received on the traffic control cell’s WhatsApp number was from a Pakistani number outside India.

The person making the threat claimed that the terrorist attack would take place in Mumbai.
