India wants status quo on LAC

General Bhatia said that India wants to restore the status quo on LAC. Therefore, according to the situation in April 2020, the forces are expected to return to their respective locations.

Armies moving away from conflict points

It was at these places that there were a maximum army and artillery gathering. Here both the armies were face to face. There was also a lot of possibility of confrontation here.

The status quo of India should be maintained

The Chinese army which has built between five and six fingers in Indian territory will have to leave them. He said that the objective of India was to establish the status quo which would be achieved.

In such a situation, saying that India has accepted China’s 1959 claim would be wrong.

Army deployment will be cut.

Asked about the way forward for the future, he said that the deployment of the army would have to be cut after the two countries reversed.

After this, the terms of the agreement between the two have to be strengthened.

At the same time, India should increase its strategic capabilities with increased surveillance and patrolling in the region so that it can respond immediately if any such situation arises in the future.
