The cold management strategy of the Border Security Force (BSF) is coming in handy to thwart the enemy who is hatching nefarious designs on the Jammu IB surrounded by dense fog in the severe winter.
After a female infiltrator in December, a Pakistani infiltrator has been killed in Arnia January.
Under this strategy, which took effect in the second fortnight of December, the jawans are ready round the clock on the 192 km international border in the Jammu division.
Deployment on the border has been increased, additional checks have been put in place.
Along with increasing the security level in Samba and Kathua districts along with Jammu, at present, the Border Security Force is working in better coordination with the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police.

The BSF fleet is presently equipped with advanced night vision devices capable of seeing fog, darkness, high definition cameras, advanced thermal imagers, high range night vision, and sensors.
Pakistan also activates its Border Action Teams (BAT) on the IB in winter. Recently, Pakistan’s Border Action Team’s attack on the Line of Control in Keran, Kashmir has been foiled.
Border guards are boosted with great success:
BSF jawans are encouraged by the huge success in the situation arising out of dense fog in the Ramgarh area of the Samba sector at the beginning of the new year.
The jawans are taking extra vigil to cope. The border guards have a lot of experience in foiling the enemy’s plans in this area.
Conspiracies are often hatched from the enemy side in the Ramgarh area from Pakistan. They are thwarted with high spirits.
Terrorists have tried to infiltrate several times on Ismilepur, Chamliyal, Fatwal Zero Line of Ramgarh. They have been made a failure.
In the year 2016, three terrorists were killed by the BSF at the Fatwal border post. Even after this the enemy’s conspiracies have been thwarted.
At this time, along with infiltration on the border, the soldiers are foiling the enemy’s conspiracies to throw weapons with drones and dig tunnels on the border.
SSP Abhishek Mahajan, SDPO Lavkaran Singh, and SHO Vijay Kautwal also reached along with DIG Surjit Singh Sheikhon, DIG SPS Sandhu.
On this occasion, the Commanding Officer of 98 Battalion, Deepak Kumawat, Company Commander Inspector Nagpal were also present.
