In recent times, China has also had a dispute with Vietnam and Malaysia in terms of fishing. Wang E embarked on a goodwill visit to ASEAN countries to end the specter of these disputes.

In the meantime, he is giving assurances like providing vaccines to protect the Covid-19 epidemic and increase economic cooperation. In this diplomacy, China is also sending a message to these countries to stay away from America.

In a joint press conference with Malaysia’s foreign minister in Kuala Lumpur, Wang said, China and ASEAN countries will work together to evacuate external forces from the South China Sea.

Outside strength, Wang apparently meant America. Wang claims that America’s latest strategy in the Indo-Pacific region is dangerous for East Asia’s security. Said, he is confident that all countries of the region will remain alert to this danger.

The South China Sea should not become a place of battle for warships of powerful countries.

To give Malaysia an economic advantage, China has assured to purchase 1.7 million tonnes of palm oil from it by 2023. Also assured to speed up the loading of goods to boost the economy of ASEAN countries.
