China removed 10,000 soldiers from inside areas near LAC in eastern Ladakh, know the reason.
In a significant development, the army of China has removed about 10,000 soldiers from their interior areas near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.
However, the deployment in the forward areas remains intact and in many areas of this sector, troops on both sides are engaged face to face.
Government sources said that the Chinese army has withdrawn about 10,000 soldiers from their traditional training areas in front of the East Ladakh sector and its surrounding areas.
Deployment of weapons remains intact
China’s traditional training areas are 80 to 100 km from the LAC. China had retained these troops from April-May last year. Sources say that heavy weapons deployed by China near the Indian border have been retained in the area.
China is suffering from severe winter
Sources say that the reason for the withdrawal of the troops from the interior areas may be the cold and they may be finding it difficult to keep a large number of soldiers stationed in this very cold region.
It is difficult to say whether they will bring these soldiers back if the temperature rises in February-March.
China removed 10,000 soldiers: This move of China is not uncommon
Experts say that it is not uncommon for the Chinese army to withdraw troops from training areas in the winter season.
They say that India also takes similar steps and removes troops from training areas in the high mountain region.
50 thousand soldiers were deployed
In April-May 2020, the Chinese Army deployed about 50 thousand soldiers in front of the Indian border in the eastern Ladakh sector. India also deployed an equal number of troops, acting swiftly.
In the name of an annual training exercise, Chinese troops tried to encroach on Indian territories, resulting in several skirmishes on both sides. This is the reason why the Indian Army is keeping a close watch on their activities.
India returned Chinese soldiers
Meanwhile, India has returned a Chinese soldier caught on LAC three days ago.
According to a statement issued by the army, this Chinese soldier was handed over to the PLA in the morning (10:10 am) at the Chushul-Moldo military camp on LAC in Ladakh.
Let us know that on January 8, this Chinese soldier was caught on the southern side of Pangong Lake in eastern Ladakh.
Chinese soldier was caught in Ladakh
The Indian Army immediately took possession of him.
Followed the military protocol, and started interrogating him, and also informed the Chinese army about the detention of his soldier who had crossed the border and entered India.
When his soldier was caught, China clarified that he had accidentally gone into the Indian border by wandering in the dark, demanding his release from India.
The military and military agencies handed over the Chinese soldier to China on Monday after extensive questioning and investigation.
Last year also a Chinese soldier entered India
This was the second incident of Chinese troops crossing the LAC in the last four months to enter the Indian border. Earlier in October last year, a Chinese soldier entered the Indian border in the Chumar-Demchok area of Ladakh.
Even then China had said that this soldier named Wang or Long had wandered into the Indian territory by mistake and after interrogation by the Indian Army, this soldier was also released and handed over to China.
