Complete lockdown of 84 hours in 11 districts of Jammu and Kashmir from this evening, but necessary services will continue.
Only essential services will continue in the Jammu district during the 84-hour lockdown starting at 7 pm today. Jammu Deputy Commissioner Anshul Garg gave this information in a tweet on Wednesday evening.
The lockdown was announced by the state disaster management in 11 districts on Wednesday.
Although the order clearly stated that the deputy commissioner of every district will issue a detailed order in this context and will inform the public about which services will be stopped in this lockdown.
DC will also inform which services will continue during this period, the Deputy Commissioner of Jammu did not issue any order in this context till late in the night.
In a tweet, however, it was informed that only the essential services will be left untouched.
According to the tweet of the Deputy Commissioner of Jammu, all those services which fall under the category of essential services will continue during the lockdown.
According to the order issued earlier, the services that have been called essential services include medicine shops, laboratories and all kinds of clinics.
Fruit and vegetable shops, milk-yogurt, meat, food-eating shops and bakeries, rations. Includes shops and petrol pumps and LPG agencies.
When the order was issued by the district administration on permission to open 50 percent of shops on rotation, these shops were allowed to remain open from Monday to Saturday, giving the category of essential services.
If you go, then only these services will be allowed to continue from seven o’clock in the morning to seven o’clock in the morning and everything else will be closed.
The passenger vehicle is already closed at the moment and the transporter is on strike demanding a 50 percent fare hike in passenger fares. In such a situation, the passenger vehicle is likely to remain closed during the lockdown.
There will be lockdown in these 11 districts: The government has announced the imposition of Corona curfew or lockdown from 7 pm on Thursday 29 April to 3 May 2021 on Monday morning.
A full lockdown of 84 hours is being imposed in Srinagar, Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam, Kulgam, Pulwama, Ganderbal, Jammu, Kathua, Reasi, Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir.
