Declaration of Election of Western Graduates – Immediate Model Code of Conduct: District Collector Nitesh Patil. Officers and staff assigned to duty shall adequately enforce all directions specified by the Election Commission

The Election Commission of India has set the declaration of the election of Western Graduate constituency of the Karnataka Methodist Council and the Model Code of Conduct has been implemented immediately in the district and constituency.

District Collector Nitesh K. Patil said that there is still time for registered voters in the district to register their names and submit petitions at Tahsildar offices and urban local bodies.

He said the election notification will be published on October 1 in the District Secretariat’s office on election preparation and modeling.

Submission of nominations up to 8 pm, Nominations will be reviewed on the 9th, and 12 is the last day to withdraw the nomination.  Voting will take place on the 28th. He said counting of votes would take place on November 2 and the election process should end at 5 pm.

District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer, Dr. B. B. Satish, Hubli-Dharwad Police Commissioner R. Dileep, Additional District Collector Sivananda Karandi explained the directions of the Election Commission. District officials attended the meeting.
