Delhi Police’s big action on drug smugglers, two arrested including a Nigerian, heroin worth 40 crores recovered: International Drugs Syndicate.
The Special Cell of Delhi Police has taken major action against drug smugglers on Tuesday. The team has arrested two members of the International Drug Syndicate.
A Nigerian is also included in the accused. The arrested is the leader of the Nigerian Drug Syndicate. 6.2 kg of heroin has been recovered from them.
According to the information, the price of this heroin in the international market is about 40 crores. The police have started a further investigation regarding getting such a quantity of drugs from the accused.
The police have expressed the apprehension that there may be some more revelations regarding the drug case.
It is noteworthy that earlier on May 11, 55 kg of heroin was recovered from the cargo area of Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
Delhi Police’s big action on drug smugglers: The recovered heroin was kept hidden in the handle of 126 trolley bags.
Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) officials had received secret information about this, after which it was recovered under Operation Black and White.
On receiving information during the operation here, the DRI had also recovered seven kg of heroin and 50 lakh cash from Punjab and Haryana.
According to DRI sources, the total value of 62 kg of heroin recovered in the international market was Rs 434 crore. The trolley bag importer has been caught in this case.
3300 kg of heroin was seized last year.
Last year, 3300 kg of heroin was seized from different parts of the country. This year also 687 kg of heroin has been recovered so far.
In this 34 kg, of heroin has been recovered from the container depot at Tughlakabad, 201 kg from Mudra port, and 392 kg from Pipavav porter.
Apart from this, about 60 kg of heroin has been recovered from passengers at airports located in different parts of the country.
