Displaced Kashmiri Pandits Protested Against Central Government

Displaced Kashmiri Pandits demonstrated against the central government: Kashmiri Pandits.

The movement of displaced Kashmiri Pandits demanding an increase in monthly relief has entered its 291st day.

On Monday, these displaced people gathered at Nagrota in Jagti and raised slogans against the central government and the Jammu and Kashmir administration.

These activists said that the central government has deliberately remained silent because this government is not serious about the displaced Kashmiri Pandits.

The demonstration was organized under the banner of the Jagati Tenement Committee and Son Kashmir.

These Kashmiri Pandits said that we are demanding our rights. Due to the situation that arose in Kashmir in 1989, he had to be displaced.

All their property, houses were left in the valley. But today the condition is that this displaced Kashmiri Pandit is not able to even live his life.

Shadi Lal Pandita, the head of the committee, said that at present, the government gives cash monthly relief of Rs 13,000 to the displaced Kashmiri Pandit family. But the family cannot survive this.

We are demanding that at least 25 thousand rupees should be given per family. But the government has nothing to do with our demands.

That is why our sit-in protest will continue till the eyes of this government are not opened.

At the same time, Raj Kumar Tikku said that under the Prime Minister’s package, the government is issuing new decrees for the Kashmiri Pandit youth engaged in jobs.

Now a new decree has been taken that under the package, the Kashmiri Pandits who are employed will have to work for two years on the basic salary.

Tikku said that such orders are dishonest. The Kashmiri Pandit community will never tolerate this.

If the government does not withdraw such decrees soon, then the Kashmiri Pandit community will be forced to take to the streets at large.
