Drug Racket Busted: Drug racket running through dark web busted in Hyderabad, two accused arrested.

Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing, H-NEW has busted a gang of drug smugglers operating through the dark web.

Police have arrested two accused in the case, described by the police as dark web kingpins, and six others who are allegedly drug peddlers from Hyderabad.

CV Anand, CP, Hyderabad told the news agency, that 6 drug peddlers have been caught after an interstate drug racket involving crypto transactions worth Rs 45 lakhs was busted.

The accused were selling drugs on the dark web and using cryptocurrencies and hidden apps to facilitate the door-delivery of drugs.

The accused have been identified as Narendra Arya alias Holi Shap and Farhan Mohammad Ansari alias Terminator.

The other six drug smugglers have been identified as Utkarsh Umang alias Ashu, Sahil Sharma, Abdullah Khan, Inder Kumar, Charan Kumar, and P. Bhushan Raj, all residents of Hyderabad.

Additionally, more than 30 drug users have also been identified.

According to the police, Arya was allegedly involved in online drug smuggling through the dark web.

During the investigation, it was found that Arya transacted through cryptocurrencies to the tune of Rs 30 lakh and has 450 users across India.

Another gangster Ansari was also involved in online drug trafficking through the dark web with the help of social networks.

Payment for delivery is done through cryptocurrency. On inquiry, it was revealed that around Rs 15 lakh transactions were done in cryptocurrency across India for the smuggling of drugs.

Further investigation is being done in this matter.

Mahant of accused Lingayat Math hospitalized complained of chest pain in jail.

Lingayat Math Mahant Shivamurthy Muruga Sharanaru was on Friday brought from jail to a hospital in Chitradurga, Karnataka.

In fact, Mahant was arrested under the POCSO Act for sexually abusing minor girls. After this Mahant complained of chest pain and was admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Police sources said that the accused Mahant was arrested on Thursday night and brought to the jail, where he had fainted after complaining of chest pain.

Currently, treatment is going on in the emergency ward of the hospital. Doctors have done echo tests, chest scans,s, and ECGs.

Sources said that he may be shifted to Apollo or Jayadeva Hospital in Bengaluru.
