DVAC Raids On 57 Locations Linked To AIADMK Leader

DVAC raids on 57 locations linked to AIADMK leader KP Anbalagan.

The raids were conducted by officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) at 57 locations linked to former Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister and AIADMK leader KP Anbalagan.

The DVAC on Wednesday also registered a case against Anbalagan, his wife Malliga, sons Shashi Mohan and Chandra Mohan, and daughter-in-law Vaishnavi Chandramohan.

He is the sixth former AIADMK minister to be raided by the DVAC after the DMK came to power.

Let us inform you that since 2001, Anbalagan has been elected MLA from the Palakode constituency five times.

He also held the charge of the Minister of State for Municipal Administration, Rural Development and Information between 2001 and 2006.

Along with this, he has also been the Minister of Higher Education from 2016 to 2021.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai hints at lifting the Covid restrictions in Karnataka, the decision will be taken in the meeting on January 21.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has hinted at easing the restrictions imposed due to rising cases of Covid-19 in the state.

The Chief Minister said on Wednesday that in view of the increasing cases of the corona, a decision would be taken after consulting experts on January 21 to remove the restrictions imposed in the state, weekend and night curfew.

He said that during the third wave in the country, people are getting fever and cough, especially from Covid.

Along with this, during the third wave, people are recovering at home without being admitted to the hospital.

The situation of the state will come out in the meeting.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai further said that due to this people can do their daily business by following the guidelines of Covid.

He said that the committee of experts has been apprised of the sentiments of the people.

The committee has been ordered to look into the demand of the people. Also, the committee is taking stock of the situation of Covid in the state.

He said that the full picture of the state would come out in the meeting of experts on Friday. Further decisions will be taken keeping in mind the advice of experts.

However, due to the increasing number of Covid, there is no burden on the hospitals either. He said that we have instructed the hospitals to focus on treating the patients coming to the OPD.
