I welcome this step towards strengthening the unity of India and urge all such groups to come forward and end separatism forever. End of Separatism in Jammu & Kashmir: Mohammad Shafi Reshi also broke ties
Amid the winds of change blowing in Kashmir, on Monday, another hardline Separatist Advocate Mohammad Shafi Reshi, announced breaking ties with the Hurriyat Conference and Democratic Political Movement (DPM). Expressing faith in the sovereignty and integrity of India, he said that I have no connection with any political party, especially any separatist organization which directly or indirectly supports the independence of Kashmir or separation of Kashmir from India.
Reshi was a prominent leader of Hurriyat
Let us tell you that advocate Reshi has been considered one of the prominent leaders of the Hurriyat Conference led by hardline Syed Ali Shah Geelani. He has also been the president of DPM. Reshi told the media in a telephone call late on Monday night that I have no connection with Hurriyat Conference or DPM or any other separatist organization. I have already resigned from DPM. I have been keeping myself away from separatist activities for seven years because I had understood the reality of Hurriyat and other similar parties.
