Five Indian startups included in World Economic Forum’s tech community.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) on Tuesday said that 100 new startups, including 5 from India, have joined its technology pioneers community.

These range from healthcare and financial services to the metaverse. Vahan is building a full-stack labor market for blue-collar workers across five Indian entities.

SmartCoin Financials is a technology-driven financial inclusion platform that empowers the underprivileged and Recykal is Asia’s first circular economy marketplace.

Regarding the Indian startups on the list, WEF said Proeon is creating next-generation plant proteins with improved taste, texture, and nutrition.

Five Indian startups are included in WEF’s tech community: Pandocorp is rapidly improving supply chain execution with Logistics Cloud.

The WEF said that the 2022 Group, filled with young and growing tech companies, is forging new avenues in healthcare, food production, and cutting-edge technologies.

The list has been announced a few days before the WEF’s annual meeting in the Swiss ski resort city of Davos on May 22-26.

This year’s intake also includes Emerge, which is improving virtual interactions by developing touch devices for users in virtual meetings.
