Former Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry Died In Road Accident

Former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry died in a road accident, accident that happened in Palghar, adjacent to Mumbai.

Cyrus Mistry, former chairman of the Tata Group, has passed away. According to the information shared by the news agency, Cyrus Mistry died in a road accident.

This road accident happened in Palghar, adjacent to Mumbai. After the accident, Cyrus Mistry was rushed to the hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead.

The news agency quoted a Palghar police officer as saying that former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry was returning from Ahmedabad to Mumbai when his Mercedes collided with the road divider.

According to the police, four people were present in the car, out of which two including Cyrus Mistry died on the spot. Two other people have been taken to the hospital.

The accident happened on the Surya river bridge in the Kasa police station area. The police officer said that this road accident happened around 3.15 pm.

Cyrus Pallonji Mistry was a businessman who became the chairman of the Tata Group on 28 December 2012. Later, on 24 October 2016, the Tata Group removed Cyrus Mistry from the post of chairman.

It is known that in December 2012, Ratan Tata stepped down as the chairman of Tata Sons. After Ratan Tata, this responsibility was entrusted to Cyrus Mistry.

However, within four years, on 24 October 2016, he too had to step down as the chairman of Tata Sons.

After this N Chandrasekaran was given the responsibility as the new chairman. Cyrus Mistry’s father Pallonji Mistry passed away on June 28 at the age of 93.

Political and industry personalities have expressed condolences on the death of Cyrus Mistry.
