Fugitive Mallya, Nirav, And Mehul Choksi Will Be Brought Back

Fugitive Mallya, Nirav, and Mehul Choksi will be brought back under any circumstances: Nirmala Sitharaman.

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Thursday that fugitives Vijay Mallya, Nirav Modi, and Mehul Choksi would be brought back. They will have to face Indian laws.

The government is constantly trying to extradite him. Mallya and Nirav Modi are in the UK while the vigil is in Antigua.

India will have to face the laws.

Responding to the discussion on the Insurance Amendment Bill-2021 in the Rajya Sabha, the Finance Minister insisted that he would be brought back under all circumstances and that he would have to face the laws here.

Mallya, who owns Kingfisher Airlines, fled to Britain in March 2016 after a scam of Rs 9,000 crore. He has been living there since then.

Similarly, Nirav Modi and his relative Choksi have also run away from the public sector Punjab National Bank in a scam of four and a half thousand rupees.

The government is constantly trying to get him back to India. Extradition cases are going on against him in the courts of Britain and Antigua.

Let it be known that the way of extradition of Nirav Modi, the main accused in the PNB scam of 14 thousand crores has been cleared.

Recently, a local court in London rejected Nirav Modi’s arguments like Corona infection, poor health, weak evidence, fear of justice, and poor condition in Indian jails and allowed his extradition.

However, Nirav has the option to challenge the court’s decision in the High Court. In January 2018, Nirav had fled abroad, including the Modi family, after the revelations of a Rs 14,000 crore scam through PNB’s Line of Credit.

Vijay Mallya fled Britain from India in March 2016. Liquor businessman Vijay Mallya is accused of embezzling 9 thousand crore rupees from 17 banks.

Attempts to extradite Mallya, currently living in London, we’re successful when the London Magistrate Court ordered him to be extradited to India in December 2018.

This order was challenged by Vijay Mallya in the High Court. Hearing this, on February 12, the High Court admitted that there was strong evidence of dishonesty against fugitive liquor businessman Vijay Mallya.

Mehul Choksi is the maternal uncle of Nirav Modi, a diamond merchant. Nirav Modi is also another prime accused in this alleged fraud case of over Rs 13,000 crore.

Choksi has fled India and according to investigative agencies he is living in Antigua and Barbuda.
