A 12-year-old boy died on Tuesday due to a grenade explosion in Tinsukia district of Assam.

A senior police officer said that Sujoy Hajong was riding a bicycle in Hajong village of Jagun police station area of ​​the district, when he found a grenade lying on the road.

“As soon as the boy picked up the grenade, it exploded, leaving the boy seriously injured,” the officer said, adding that Hajong was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
