IAF Exercises: Fighters Will Roar Over LAC From Today Amid Clash With Chinw

IAF Exercises: Fighters will roar over LAC from today amid a clash with China, flying from Sukhoi to Rafale.

Northeast Indian Air Force (IAF) Exercises: Given the situation at Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh after 9 December and the military stalemate between India and China, the Indian Air Force will conduct a two-day exercise in the northeast starting Thursday.

The exercise will involve all fighters near the front lines and other assets deployed in the region. The Indian Air Force will conduct the exercise with the aim of testing the readiness of the army, officials said.

The purpose of the exercise is also to test the combat capabilities of the Indian Air Force.
What is the previous practice?

This air force exercise comes at a time when Indian and Chinese militaries are facing off along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Tawang area of Arunachal Pradesh on 9 December.

However, this exercise was planned long before the final confrontation between Indian and Chinese forces and has nothing to do with the Tawang incident.

Forward aviation will be included.

According to sources, front-line aircraft including the Indian Air Force’s Su-30MKI and Rafale will participate.

Sources also said that all forward air bases and some forward landing points (ALGs) of the Air Force in Northeast Asia should also participate.

The fighters have flown two or three sorties over the past few weeks to deal with Chinese drones along the LAC heading towards our outposts, sources said.

Explain that, Air Force’s Sukhoi fighter jets are stationed at Tezpur airbase, while a squadron of Rafale fighter jets is stationed at Hasimara.

In addition, Apache helicopters and transport aircraft are stationed in Jorhat. Helicopters and military transport aircraft will also take part in the two-day exercise.
