In the Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, the biggest weapon of the Naxalites has been the IED blast. After taking shelter in the forests of Bastar in the 80s.

The Naxalites initially gave the slogan of rights of tribals to water, forest, land and carried out acts like the beating of forest department employees, arson in Tendupatta godowns.

Later, when the situation changed, he made the blast his main weapon instead of face-to-face fighting.

The documents issued by the Naxalites at the time of the merger of the Maoist Communist Center and the People’s War Group in 2004 called for a face-to-face fight, but even after this, they are still engaged in a covert blast.

In Tadmetla, he surrounded the force and opened fire, killing 75 soldiers. However, even during this incident, he kept an IED on the road.

Hearing the message of the soldiers, an armored car carrying water from Chintalnar as soon as he reached the spot exploded, killing a district force soldier.

Before the firing on the Congress convoy in Jhiram, he made a blast in which a carriage flew.

Wherever Naxalites ambush, they also install IEDs. It is reported that they were trained to install IED by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam terrorists who came to the forests of Bastar.

On Tuesday, several incidents of this kind have occurred before the jawan’s bus was blown up by the blast. The Maoists carried out the first blast in Bastar in the Tarrem area of ​​Bijapur in 1990.

Since then, he has been continuously exploding. In 1993, after a Naxal incident in a Narayanpur district, a DSP reached the spot with the jawans. The Naxalites had planted explosives. 25 people were killed in this incident.

A day before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he had blasted at Shyamigiri in Dantewada, killing Dantewada MLA Bhima Mandavi and four of his security personnel.

On 14 March 2018, a CRPF vehicle was blown up in the Kistram area of ​​Sukma district in which nine soldiers were killed.

Have also flown mine-protected vehicles.

After the incidents of continuous explosions, the force was provided with mine-protected vehicles.

In 2007, he also blew up a mine-protected vehicle in Bijapur’s Ponjar by applying 100 kg of ammo. 17 CRPF personnel were killed in this incident.

During the Salwa Judum era, he blew up a truck full of villagers in Darbhaguda in the Sukma district, killing 25 people. In 2010 Sukma district blew up a bus on the main road near Korra.

Along with the common people, the jawans were also boarding the bus. 30 people were killed in this incident.

IG Sundarraj P of Bastar said, ‘The force is now succeeding in finding the IEDs. In Narayanpur, IED failed to detect. Perhaps Naxalites are adopting some new technology. We will decide the strategy according to the situation.
