IED Blast in Saranda Forest, Jharkhand: 2 Soldiers Injured in Naxal Attack

IED Blast in Saranda Forest: An IED blast planted by Naxalites in Saranda forest, Chaibasa, has injured two soldiers — Head Constable Vishnu Saini of Cobra 203 and Constable Sunil Dhan of Jharkhand Jaguar. A joint anti-Naxal operation is underway in West Singhbhum district.

Cobra 203 battalion jawan Head Constable Vishnu Saini and Jharkhand Jaguar jawan Constable Sunil Dhan were seriously injured in the blast. The condition of the injured personnel is stable.

IED Blast in Saranda Forest: After immediate first aid to both the injured personnel through a helicopter, the injured personnel have been sent to Ranchi for further treatment

Giving information in this regard, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar said that top leaders of banned Naxalite organization CPI (Maoist) Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochu, Anal, Asim Mandal, Ajay Mahato, Sagen Angaria, Ashwin, Pintu Lohara, Chandan Lohara, Amit Hansda alias Uptan, Jaikant, Rapa Munda were reported to be roaming with their squad members for subversive activity in Saranda, Kolhan area.

After this information, a joint operation team of Chaibasa Police, Cobra Battalion, Jharkhand Jaguar and CRPF teams has been formed and the operation is being conducted continuously.

On receiving secret information regarding them, a special joint operation has been started on Saturday in the forest, hilly area bordering Chotanagra and Jaraikela police station.

The police force took immediate action and, with the help of Police Headquarters Jharkhand, Ranchi and CRPF Jharkhand Sector Jharkhand Ranchi, after immediate first aid, the injured personnel were sent to Ranchi for better treatment through a helicopter. The condition of the injured personnel is stable. The ongoing anti-Naxal operation is continuing.
