Jammu and Kashmir have once again foiled the conspiracy of terrorists to terrorize Jammu. Police averted a major accident by recovering an IED on the Jammu-Srinagar highway near Batra Hospital.

On the highway, the terrorists had planted a timer fitted ID in a black box. The police got the information about this in time.

The bomb disposal squad of the police reached the spot on time and deactivated the IED by taking it to a safe place. Police and the army are conducting a search operation in the surrounding areas.

According to the information received from the police, people got apprehensive after seeing a suspicious black-colored box in the garbage bin on the highway near Batra Hospital and informed the police.

IED recovered on a highway: As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot.

Meanwhile, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli also reached the spot. He also got apprehensive and immediately instructed the security forces to stop the movement of vehicles on the highway.

Vehicular movement on the highway was stopped on both sides and the Bomb Disposal Squad was informed.

Bomb disposal squad personnel took the box out of the dustbin and took it to a safe place and opened it. The terrorists had installed IEDs with timers in the compartment.

The soldiers involved in the team very safely exploded the IED and made it inactive. After neutralizing the IED, the security forces started a search operation in the surrounding area.

The police suspect that the terrorists who planted the IED are hiding somewhere nearby.

People are also being questioned. It is also being investigated at Batra Hospital and on the highway whether the terrorists have planted explosives somewhere else.
