In the presence of the Chinese representative in the Security Council, Jaishankar said, India has worked together keeping in mind the priorities, convenience, and willingness of African countries.

We believe that the development of Africa should be in accordance with the belief of a truly multipolar system. India is determined to support such development of African countries.

The External Affairs Minister said India has acted unconditionally with African countries.

India’s goodwill towards Africa can be seen in 184 ongoing projects in 41 African countries. Some of these projects have been going on for decades.

Jaishankar made this statement from the global forum amid concerns spread across the world by China entrapping smaller countries and Africa in a debt trap.

Under the Belt and Road campaign, China has distributed loans to all the countries of the world for the development of basic services.

Many small countries are trapped in their debt trap and they are forced to accept the terms of China.

In his speech, Jaishankar mentioned the cooperation given by India to African countries in the field of health, education, and information technology.

Told that the trade and cooperation between India and Africa are continuously increasing and it is on the right track.
