India-China Border issue: Xi Jinping spoke to PLA soldiers amid a border dispute, and took stock.

The standoff between India and China continues on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh.

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping interacted with the soldiers of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) deployed on the LAC via video call and reviewed the preparations.

Soldiers monitor the border for 24 hours.

The Chinese President addressed troops at the border defense position in Khunjrab under the Xinjiang Military Command from the PLA headquarters.

Official media reported the conversation between Xi Jinping and the soldiers on Friday.

It was told in the report that during the call, Xi Jinping inspected the preparations for the war. Meanwhile, a soldier replied that he is monitoring the border for 24 hours.

Xi asked the soldiers questions related to border patrol and management work. Also praised the soldiers and encouraged them to persevere and make new contributions.

The Chinese President is also the Commander-in-Chief of the PLA. In such a situation, in his address to the soldiers, he shared his views about the changes taking place in the region in recent years.

India-China Border Issue: The deadlock started after the skirmish in Pangong.

Significantly, the standoff began after a violent clash between the soldiers of India and China on May 5, 2020, in the Pangong area of eastern Ladakh.

After which, 17 rounds of military talks have taken place between the two countries with the aim of restoring the earlier situation on the border.

However, there is still a deadlock on some issues. In such a situation, India insisted that peace on LAC is necessary for the overall development of bilateral relations with China.

On the improvement of relations with India, there has been a contrary message from the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar has said that she does not see Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an ally.

Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had expressed his desire to hold talks with Prime Minister Modi in an interview.

Although later his office added the condition of reimplementing Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
