India deployed K-9 Vajra in Ladakh amid tension with China, firepower will increase on LAC.
India has also stepped up its preparations to deal with China’s trickery on the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
To give a befitting reply to the Chinese Army, the Indian Army has deployed the K-9 Automatic Howitzer Regiment in the forward area of Eastern Ladakh.
This gun is capable of attacking enemy positions located at a distance of about 50 km.
Army Chief MM Naravane has said that the situation has been quite normal in the last 6 months on the situation of the standoff on the India-China border.
We hope to have the 13th round of talks in the second week of October and we will reach a consensus on how the disengagement will happen.
The Army Chief also mentioned that China has deployed a large number of troops to the entire Eastern Ladakh and the Northern Front up to our Eastern Command.
There has certainly been an increase in their deployment in forwarding areas which remains a matter of concern for us.

Giving information on the situation of the standoff along the India-China border, the Army Chief said that the situation on the border is normal for the last several months.
Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane told the news agency, on the India-China standoff, “The situation has been quite normal in the last 6 months.
We hope to have the 13th round of talks in the second week of October and we will reach a consensus on how to withdraw the troops.
He further said that gradually all the conflicting points will be resolved. I firmly believe that we can resolve our differences through dialogue. I hope we will be able to get the result.
The Army Chief said in the conversation that the Chinese have deployed a large number of people across Eastern Ladakh and the Northern Front up to our Eastern Command.

He further added, “We are regularly monitoring all their activities.
Based on the inputs we have received, we are making similar developments in terms of infrastructure as well as troops, which are required to counter any threat.
For the time being, we are fully prepared to deal with any eventuality.
