India Eyes ISTAR Spy Planes in ₹10,000 Cr Defense Push

India Eyes ISTAR Spy Planes: India set to approve ₹10,000 crore ISTAR project to equip Air Force with high-tech spy planes for precision strikes and real-time surveillance.

There will be a precise attack on enemy targets from the air, the Air Force will get ISTAR spy planes, which are a specialty. The Indian Army badly defeated Pakistan recently during Operation Sindoor. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense is going to take a big step. It is being reported that the Ministry of Defense is going to consider a proposal of Rs 10,000 crore to buy three state-of-the-art spy planes.

Its main objective is that the Indian Air Force can get a clear picture of air-to-ground attack, and it can make precise attacks on enemy ground targets like radar stations, air defense units, and other dynamic objects.

The decision can be taken in the meeting to be held this month

According to some media reports cited by the News Agency, defense officials said that the Rs 10,000 crore Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (I-STAR) project is anticipated to be presented for approval at the Ministry of Defense’s high-level meeting, which is set for the fourth week of June. Let us tell you that the military can conduct air-to-ground surveillance thanks to the I-Star spy plane.

Let us inform you that it has been developed by the Defense Research and Development with completely indigenous technology. As part of the spy plane program, an open tender will be used to buy three planes from foreign manufacturers, such as Boeing and Bombardier. According to officials, the aircraft’s onboard systems will be entirely domestic. Officials say that these systems have already been proven and developed by CABS.
