Indian Army Encamps At More Than 20 LAC Peaks

Indian Army encamps at more than 20 LAC peaks amidst the escalation of core commander level talks with China today. The Indian Army encamps and has tightened its grip on more than 20 peaks in eastern Ladakh amidst an escalation with China.

Sources say that on Monday, a sixth-round of Corps Commander level talks are proposed between the two countries. The hold on these peaks gave India a strategic edge before the talks.

According to sources, the talks will discuss the withdrawal of forces altogether and the implementation of the consensus made towards establishing peace in East Ladakh.

Negotiations between the two sides are scheduled to begin at 9 am in Moldo.

Watching the movements of the Chinese army

It is being told that for the first time, among the Indian representatives, Joint Secretary level officials of the Ministry of External Affairs can also be part of the talks. India is hoping to reach a firm conclusion from this dialogue.

The leading news agency quoted sources as saying that between August 29 and the second week of September, the Indian Army occupied a high peak near Magar Hill, Gurung Hill, Rechan La, Rejang La, Mukherpari, and Finger 4.

These strategically important peaks have made it easy to monitor the antics of the Chinese military. All the peaks are on the Indian border on the LAC.

Shootout after 45 years on the Indo-China border to capture the peaks

Due to China’s efforts to occupy these peaks, LAC has been fired thrice within the last few days. The incident of firing on the LAC comes 45 years after the Chinese aggression increased Indian border forces active on the border.

Activities are being carried out here under the supervision of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, and Chief of Army Staff MM Narwane.

After the occupation of the peaks by the Indian Army, China increased the deployment of troops.
