Indian Navy Increased strength, ‘Vagir’ rises in the sea, then China worries. India is steadily increasing its military strength between tensions with China, along the border in Ladakh.

In the same sequence, on Thursday, Vagir, the fifth submarine of the Indian Navy’s Scorpene-class, was launched from video-conferencing by Vijaya.

The chief guest, and wife of Minister of State for Defense, Shripad Naik, from Mazgaon Dockyard in Mumbai.

Such is the name: Vagir Hind is a predatory fish found in the ocean, which is very dangerous. The first Vagir submarine came from Russia.

It was inducted into the Navy on 3 December 1973 and was retired from service on 7 June 2001.

Calvary Range

The Vagir is part of six submarines of the Kalvari class, which are being built in India.
They are designed by the French naval and energy company DCNS.
These are being constructed under the Make in India campaign under Project-75 of the Indian Navy.
The first submarine of this category is Kalvari. The other three submarines are Khanderi, Karanj, and Vela.
Kalvari and Khanderi have joined the Navy, while Karanj’s sea trials are going on.
The fourth submarine Vela has undergone sea trials, while the sixth Vagashir will also be launched soon.

Specialized in surface and anti-submarine warfare, intelligence gathering, tunnel laying, and surveillance.
