It is reported that India has taken steps to strengthen food security in Syria and presented 2000 MT of rice last month. Both countries have historically enjoyed close and friendly relations.

India has always stood in solidarity with the Syrian people and the bilateral conflict through several development and capacity-building projects have continued to work steadily even during the years of internal conflict.

Now Turkey will host Afghan peace talks, the Taliban and the Afghan government requested.

Turkey has also joined the effort to establish peace in Afghanistan. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Kevusoglu said that Turkey will host the talks in April. For this, Turkey will appoint a special envoy for Afghanistan.

Turkey’s announcement comes at a time when the United States of America has circulated a draft to all sides to establish peace in Afghanistan, suggesting the formation of an interim government until elections are held.

He said that in the past the Taliban and the Afghan government had offered to host. Later, Turkey was also proposed to meet in the draft suggested by the United States of America.

The External Affairs Minister said that this is not a meeting, but an alternative to the process going on in Doha. He said that we are coordinating with Qatar for this. The purpose is that the results of the talks should be achieved.

The date and agenda of the talks are still being considered. It is to be known that Russia is also planning to hold a meeting on Afghanistan later this month.
