DDC elections have been held for the first time:
For the first time in the history of 70 years in the state, people who have won big by making the District Development Council election successful, have established a three-tier Panchayati Raj system.
This was the reason that separatists could not muster the courage to declare the election boycott due to the enthusiasm of the people.
At the same time, the parties of Kashmir, which boycotted the first two-tier elections of Panchayati elections, not only participated in the elections by taking a U-turn but also saved their political assets.
People came out in a line in minus seven degrees temperature to vote:
30,003,45 votes are being counted to decide the fate of 2178 candidates who have fielded for 280 seats of the District Development Council.
This election lasted in eight phases from 28 November to 19 December. During this time, even in minus seven degrees temperature, people voted in queues. The contribution of security forces was also commendable.
