Karnataka High Court Orders SIT To Submit Report By June 17

Karnataka High Court orders SIT, report submitted by June 17 in the case related to Ramesh Jarkiholi: Obscene CD scandal.

The Karnataka High Court on Monday orders the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged obscene CD case involving former state minister Ramesh Jarkiholi to submit its report by June 17.

On 2 March, Kallahalli, a social worker, filed a police complaint and demanded an inquiry into the case involving Ramesh Jarkiholi.

Kallahalli had said that the victim woman was offered a job in Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).

The woman was sexually assaulted on reaching the pre-determined place and is now being threatened by the minister and his men.

An alleged pornographic tape showed the minister in an objectionable position with the woman.

Let us inform that on March 3, Jarkiholi had resigned as the water resources minister of the state after the obscene CD was aired on news channels. They claim that she is innocent and a conspiracy is being hatched to defame her.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President DK Shivakumar on Thursday urged Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai to arrest MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi in an alleged porn scandal.

Vijayan appeals to Chief Ministers of non-BJP ruled states, appeal to Center to ask for free vaccine.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday wrote a letter to the chief ministers of 11 non-NDA ruled states.

He has requested the chief ministers to jointly urge the central government to procure the vaccines and distribute them free of cost.

Vijayan said in the letter – the central government should give free vaccine.

Vijayan has said in the letter that it is important that vaccines should be provided free of cost as public good. Due to lack of financial means, victims should not be deprived.

He also said that the burden of purchasing the vaccine has been left entirely to the states. This will affect their financial condition.

Chief Minister said- intensive preparation and vigilance is needed to deal with the third wave.

He said, ‘When the nation is passing through the second wave of Corona, it is unfortunate that the Center is absolving itself of its duty of providing adequate supply of vaccine.

The impact of the second wave has been unprecedented, putting us all at risk. Experts have also warned of a third wave. To deal with that situation also requires our intense preparation and alertness.
