Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid tributes to jawan Karnvir Singh, who lost his life in a Shopian encounter, in Satna.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that a Samman Nidhi of Rs 1 crore would be presented to the family. His brother will be kept in government service, his idol will be installed in the village.
Karnaveer merged into Panchtatva on Friday. His last rites were performed with state honors in his village Swamp. His elder brother Shakti Singh lit the fire.
Recently, Lal Karanveer Singh (25) of Satna district of Madhya Pradesh was martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Shopian, Jammu, and Kashmir.
Karnveer posted in 44 Rashtriya Rifle was a resident of Utaili of Satna city of Madhya Pradesh. His father Ravi Singh has also been a Subedar Major in the army.
Administrative officers had come to meet his father after taking information about the sacrifice of Karnveer in the encounter in Shopian.
His ancestral home is in the marshy village of Rampur Baghelan in the district itself. Rampur Baghelan is the tehsil where most of the youth are in the Indian Army.
The encounter took place in Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir
Karnveer Singh, a soldier (25), who was martyred in the encounter that took place in Shopian, Jammu, and Kashmir, is a resident of Swadish village in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh.
The four terrorists killed in the encounter were accused of killing Sagir Ahmed Ansari, a carpenter from Saharanpur in UP on October 16 in Pulwama, and Raja and Joginder, two laborers from Bihar in Kulgam on October 17.
In the past fortnight, security forces have engaged in 11 encounters in Kashmir. So far 17 terrorists have been killed, while terrorists have killed 11 people, including five non-Kashmiris, in the last 19 days.
First, encounter A joint task force of Police, Army and CRPF started a cordon and search of Dragad area of Shopian.
Actually, the police had received information about the hiding of TRF terrorists in the area from their system. When the soldiers went ahead while searching, the terrorists hiding there attacked them.
The terrorists fired rifle grenades at the jawans as well as fired indiscriminately with their automatic weapons. Three army personnel were injured during this.
Other soldiers retaliated against the terrorists, making arrangements to take their injured comrades to a safe place from there.
