The Pakistani connection of the ongoing 12-day military operation in the forests of Chamred and Bhatadhulian of the district has come to the fore.

The security agencies have got some videos, in which the terrorist organization Ghaznavi Force has claimed responsibility for the ongoing encounter and the martyrdom of nine army personnel.

At present, the command of the Ghaznavi force is in the hands of Rafiq Nai alias Sultan, who hails from Nakka village of Mendhar, an Upazila of Poonch.

The village is just two kilometers away from the encounter site. According to sources, Sultan is currently hiding in POK and from there is running this operation at the behest of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.

According to sources, Rafiq Nai alias Sultan was earlier the commander of terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen.

He carried out many terrorist incidents in the Poonch district and when he felt that it is difficult to escape now.

He crossed the border and went to POK in the year 2008 and now staying there is increasing terrorist activities in both Rajouri and Poonch districts.

Last month also, three terrorists of the Ghaznavi force were caught with grenades and pistols from Surankote and Shahpur in Poonch. These were also terrorists prepared by the Sultan himself.
