Kashmiri Pandit (Hindu) sarpanch brutally killed by Terrorists in Anantnag. Terrorists shot dead Sarpanch of a village affiliated with the Indian National Congress (INC) in South Kashmir’s Anantnag area last evening.

Authorities said that two unidentified Terrorists on a bike showed up at Lukbhawan, Larkipora, 10 km from region base camp of Anantnag, at 5:40 pm last evening and shot dead 38-year-old local Sarpanch, Ajay Pandita Bharti, with gunshots in point-clear range. The Sarpanch, who had an affiliation with Congress party, died on the spot as he was fired shots in his head, shoulder, and chest. Inhabitants and his relatives hurried him to Locale Emergency hospital Anantnag where doctors announced him as ‘brought dead’.

Police have registered a case with respect to the episode under important Segments of law. The investigation is in progress and police keep on attempting to set up the full conditions of this dread wrongdoing. Congress president, G A Mir said that Sarpanch was feeling risky throughout the previous two months and had moved toward the police for security.

In the interim, union minister Jitendra Singh today mourned the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch in Jammu and Kashmir and said it is a “frantic endeavor” by hostile to national components to crush the procedure of grassroots majority rules system in the Union Territory.
