Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that he will talk to the Punjab Chief Minister regarding the issue of putting up Bhindranwale’s posters on HRTC buses and other vehicles. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur raised this issue under Point of Order after Question Hour in the Assembly on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister said that an FIR has also been registered for putting up the posters. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, while raising the issue, said that the youth of the neighboring states are trying to spoil the atmosphere by creating a ruckus. He said that everyone is welcome in Himachal, but there should be no attempt to spoil the atmosphere.

Jairam Thakur said that the driver of the Manali depot bus was forced to stop by showing swords. After stopping the bus, posters of Bhindranwale were pasted on it. He also raised the issue of the Bilaspur firing incident and Power Corporation’s missing Chief Engineer in the House.

The Leader of Opposition said that the kind of statements former MLA Bamber Thakur is making is unfortunate. It is wrong to make such statements on a health institution or a person. He said that this needs to be stopped.

Some Punjabi tourists were roaming around in Himachal recently with posters of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. At the same time, they were also seen putting posters of Bhindranwale on a roadway bus. After which they were removed due to the obstruction of the local people. After this, it became a matter of concern in Himachal. Such videos are also going viral on social media. Today this issue was raised in the House. After this Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu expressed concern and assured to take cognizance of it.

‘I will talk to Bamber Thakur, do not make statements during the investigation’

Earlier, the Chief Minister stated the firing incident on former MLA Bamber Thakur. He said that in this case, 3 accused, driver Ritesh Sharma, Rohit Kumar Rana and Manjit Singh Nadda have been arrested. All the three accused have been sent to 4-day police custody till March 19. During the investigation so far, it was found that both the accused were among the main conspirators, who were constantly monitoring and coordinating the firing incident.

A total of 4 shooters were involved in the firing incident. In this incident, 2 shooters Aman and Sagar from Rohtak, Haryana have been identified. Their Bilaspur accommodation has also been identified and separate teams have been formed to arrest them and sent to neighboring districts and states.

The CCTV footage pictures of the above two accused from Haryana have been sent to neighboring districts and states. The help of the Haryana Police is also being taken in this. Given the seriousness of the matter, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed by the Police Headquarters under the chairmanship of Additional Director General of Police Gyaneshwar Singh, DIG Mandi Soumya Samvasivan.
