Lashkar-e-Taiba Terrorist Arrested In Pulwama

Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist arrested in Pulwama, the pistol also recovered.

Continuing their operation against terrorists in Kashmir, security forces have arrested a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist from district Pulwama.

A pistol and its magazine have also been recovered from his possession.

Security forces say that the arrested terrorist had joined the organization a few days ago. Information related to the organization is being taken from him.

Police sources said that on the basis of the information, a joint team of SOG of J&K Police, 55 RR Battalion of Army, and 182 Battalion of CRPF reached Nikloora village of district Pulwama.

The forces started looking for terrorists by cordoning off the area.

The jawans arrested a suspicious youth during this operation. When he was searched, a pistol and his magazine were recovered from his possession.

On interrogation, he confessed to the security forces that he was associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. He joined the organization in July.

He has been identified as Ghulam Mohammad Sofi, son of Shamim Sofi. He is a resident of Nikalura.

Fourteen cattle free, smugglers absconding, being brutally tied in a truck and taken for smuggling.

In Manwal under the Jhajjarkotli police station, locals caught hold of a truck carrying cattle from Jammu to Kashmir Valley for smuggling.

During this action, the smugglers in the truck fled from the spot. Manwal police reached the spot and seized the truck. The cattle recovered from it were handed over to the local people on hand.

At the same time, the local people protested, calling the police a failure in curbing the increasing incidents of cattle smuggling. During this, people raised slogans against cattle smugglers and police.

This incident of cattle smuggling happened in the early hours of Friday morning. The people of the Manwal area got information that a truck bearing Kashmir number JK03D-7396 was smuggling cattle.

People also informed Manwal police. After the arrival of the police, the local people tried to stop the truck, but the truck driver fled from the spot with the vehicle. People started chasing the truck.
