The incident happened late Tuesday night. On the basis of information received from the sources, the security forces conducted a search operation in Hajitra village, adjacent to the Line of Control.

During this operation, the security forces recovered weapons at one place in the village.

They had eight grenades and one pistol. After this recovery, the police have also taken two suspects into custody. Both of them are residents of the Haridal Karnah area of ​​Kupwara.

Confirming the recovery of weapons and the detention of two persons, a senior police official said that both are being interrogated. At present other details are awaited.

In the Army’s Domana Brigade, a jawan was found hanging under suspicious circumstances. The jawan has been identified as 35-year-old Ganesh Sonavane son of Bhim Rao resident of Nashik.

The jawan was seen hanging from the noose in the room by his companions. The young man was hanging from the noose of a rope with an iron rod.

When his companions saw this scene, they informed the officials about it. After this, Domana police were also called to the spot.

When the police reached the spot, they took the jawan down and took him to GMC hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

The police took the jawan’s body for post-mortem and kept it in the GMC mortuary, where the police body was found on Wednesday.

The post-mortem will be done and will be handed over to his officers. Police have registered a case and started an investigation.
