Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati’s Marriage: Devi Parvati’s mother Devi Maina fainted after seeing Bholenath’s divine makeup, the marriage took place with difficulty, and the story is interesting.

Why Shiva is called Bhootnath, was clearly known after seeing his procession today. Dakni, Shakini, Bhoot, Pret, Yatudhan, Vaital, Pishach, Brahmarakshas, etc. were included in the procession.

According to Puranas, other deities like Lakshmi along with Vishnu ji, Brahmini along with Brahma ji, Indra dev along with Indrani, etc. had come to witness the marriage of Bholenath wearing beautiful clothes and ornaments on their respective vehicles.

Devi Maina fainted when she saw her son-in-law.

Mother Maina came to perform the son-in-law’s aarti at the door. His heart was eager to see Shiva.

Lord Bholenath with a garland of snakes around his neck, dressed in lion’s skin, smeared with ashes, blue-throated, wearing scorpion coils in his ears.

After seeing the procession, the aarti plate fell from Maina Devi’s hand and Maina Devi fainted. Baba Bhole understood everything.

Goddess Maina hugs Parvati.

Goddess Maina was picked up and brought to her room, she was given water to drink, as soon as she regained consciousness.

She hugged Parvati and said that even though she will jump from the mountain with Parvati, she will not let her get married to fierce Chandal.

Parvati ji prayed to Shiva.

Seeing the breaking of the marriage, Parvati ji became sad and prayed to Shiv ji to return to his normal form and Baba did the same.

Shiva-Parvati marriage concluded.

After a lot of persuasion, Maina Devi once again came outside to perform aarti and this time she was very happy to see Lord Shiva then Shiva-Parvati’s marriage was completed with full rituals.
