A terrorist hideout was discovered in a remote forest in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. A pistol and some ammunition were recovered from this terrorist hideout. Officials said that the hideout was discovered during a joint search operation by the local police and the Army’s Special Operations Group (SOG) in the Bhalra forest area of Bhaderwah on Saturday.

He said that a pistol, its three magazines and six rounds, and 25 rounds of AK assault rifle bullets were recovered from the hideout. No one was arrested during this operation. The operation was carried out on a specific intelligence input after reports of suspicious activities.

On Saturday, the police searched the hideouts of four Lashkar-e-Taiba overground workers in Bandipora in North Kashmir, besides freeing the land occupied in South Kashmir by a Kashmiri terrorist hiding in Pakistan.
The police also ran a bulldozer on the structure built by the said terrorist. Two of the overground workers whose hideouts were searched are also associated with the separatist organizations Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party and People’s League. Both these organizations are banned.

Security forces destroyed a bunker-like hideout of terrorists in Dachigam National Park adjoining Srinagar. Security forces are continuing the operation to catch the terrorists using this hideout.
Sniffer dogs and drones are also being used in this operation. The police had received information from its sources that terrorist activities were in the forest near Pahlipora in the upper part of Dachigam National Park.
