Matsya Avatar: Why Shri Hari Took The Form Of A Giant Fish

Matsya Avatar: Why Shri Hari took the form of a giant fish, read Matsya Avatar’s story.

As we all know God Vishnu has done many incarnations for the benefit of mankind, here Matsya Avatar is his first incarnation.

The purpose of this incarnation is to save all sentient beings in the carnage after the end of one apocalypse and restore them in the next. Now let me tell you the story of Matsya Avatar.

According to Srimad Bhagwad Mahapuran, once a king named Satyavrata repented and after repenting went to bathe in the Kritmala river.

As soon as Anjali took water for Tarpan before bathing, a small fish brought water into Anjali.

As soon as Satyavrat released the fish into the river, she said: “O Bhunresh! Here, big river creatures kill and eat small creatures like us, so I beg you to save my life, please protect me.

In this way, after hearing the compassionate voice of this little fish, the king had heartfelt pity for it and he placed the fish in his kamandalu and brought it back to the palace.

The fish is divine.

When night fell, a miracle happened, within a few hours the fish’s body grew so much that Kamandalu became too small for it to live, so the king put it in a large bucket filled with water.

By morning, the body of this divine fish had grown to such an extent that the barrel also became small.

Everyone, including the king, was surprised to see this, and then the king, showing kindness, raised fish in the lake, but when night fell, the lake also became small for him.

Shri Hari reveals the purpose of her incarnation.

Now Satyavrat was greatly taken aback and said to the fish: “O divine power, who are you, please let me understand your true nature.”

So Lord Vishnu in the form of a fish replied: “Rajan, I am Sri Hari Narayan, on the 7th day from today there will be a flood, the ocean will swallow the whole earth, and everything stuff will be sucked into the water.

Then you bring all the medicine and grain, you sit in a giant boat with seven sages, then I will come to save you from this disaster and restore life to the new Kalpa.

On the same day, Satyavrat began to remember God after preparing everything, the day Mahapralaya came, the whole creation was engulfed.

According to his account, Lord Sri Hari reappeared in the form of a fish and began a new era by establishing life after the Mahapralaya, and at the same time granting enlightenment to King Satyavrat and Saptarishis.
