Maulana Irshad Rasid Arrested By Gujarat Police

Maulana Irshad Rasid arrested by Gujarat Police as he made a video praising Mahmud Ghaznavi for demolishing Somnath Temple. The video told viral, Accused Maulana arrested.

Irshad Rashid, who stood near the Somnath Temple praised Mahmood Ghaznavi for destroying the Somnath temple, has been arrested from Panipat in Haryana.

Maulana Irshad Rasid by making a video showing Ghaznavi as a righteous man. In it, he says that today Ghaznavi is called a thief, but he is the pride of Islam.

Maulana Irshad Rasid, who stood about one and a half kilometers away from the historic Somnath temple in the Gir Somnath district of Gujarat, went viral by making a video that hurt the sentiments of the people of Hinduism.

Vijaynath Chavda, the manager of Somnath Trust, filed a complaint to the police in this regard on the basis of which the police have arrested the accused from Panipat in Haryana.

However, the police have not officially confirmed this. Maulana Rashid released a video after apologizing to the police, apologizing that he had made this video just like this. It was not his aim to hurt anyone’s feelings.

Significantly, in the video that Maulana Irshad went viral, he is standing on the seashore and pointing to the Somnath temple with a hand gesture, saying that it is the same Somnath temple that was conquered by Mahmud Ghaznavi and Muhammad Qasim.

Qasim had conquered India by crossing this ocean with his army. He also states that it is the sea that connects Pakistan with India. Describing Ghaznavi as the name of Islam and a glorious great man in history.

Irshad further says that his history should be read and studied. The police have identified him and it is reported that he was captured from Panipat in Haryana.

Somnath temple trust filed a complaint.

Maulana Irshad has said that on 4 May 2019 he went to Gujarat, Somnath also went around and made this video during that time.

Somnath Temple Trust complained against the temple, insulting it and instigating the sentiments of Hindus, now it has released a second video and started talking about its misinterpretation on the internet media and TV channel.

He says temples, mosques, gurudwaras are all places of worship, all have different ways, his purpose was not to insult the temple or to insult anyone.

The Superintendent of Police Office has said that a case has been registered against Irshad under sections 153A and 295A of the Indian Penal Code.
