Peoples Democratic Party President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, demanding the release of all Kashmiri political prisoners in jails.
In a letter to the Prime Minister, Mehbooba Mufti said that I am writing this letter to you at a time when the whole country is in the grip of the second wave of Covid infection.

Hundreds of Kashmiri political prisoners have been lodged in jails located within the state and in different parts of the country since 2019, if not thousands.
Most of them have been held captive as a precautionary measure, many have not been released even after the court grants bail.

Mehboba Ji has awakened at last from the shock of electoral defeat in DDC elections . She along with other members of Gupkar Declaration have been rejected by the people and new crop of young leaders are posing threat to their existence ,the signals of which has been sent by the huge numbers of independents winning the election in DDC elections . She has shown concern for political prisoners of j&k UT . why she along with her party cadre do volunteer job to save people from the death . No volunteer organization from any political party is visible doing any such service only the young people along with social organizations are doing lot of service . So respected Madam Ji do some service to the nation which has give you a lot and demanded nothing from you .
