Mehbooba Mufti had spent Rs 82 lakh on the furnishing of CM housing with government funds within just six months during the tenure of the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, facing a turbulent situation.

This shocking information has been received from the RTI filed by RTI activist Inam Unbi Saudagar of Srinagar. In the six months when Mehbooba was the Chief Minister from January 2018 to June 2018.

The Hospitality and Protocol Department procured the best of one thing and presented it to the Chief Minister’s service for the decoration of the CM house at Gupkar Road, Srinagar.

These included LEDs worth Rs 22 lakh, sheets worth Rs 11.62 lakh, and carpets worth Rs 28 lakh.

Mehbooba’s bath sleeper was worth 6800 rupees: The department has reported the amount spent from April 2016 to 2018 on Mehbooba Mufti’s government residence.

Most of the expenditure was incurred in the year 2018. A total of 14 expensive items were purchased by flowing government money like water.

Among them, furniture of lakhs of rupees, garden ambarella of about three lakh rupees were also purchased for the housing garden. Mehbooba Mufti’s bath sleeper was only Rs 6800.

A quarter of a million rupees were also spent on vacuum cleaners. New chairs were also purchased.

A revolving chair of Rs 1.37 was also purchased for Mehbooba in the year 2017. All this information was found in response to RTI.
