Naxalites attack in Saranda, two jawans including CRPF SI injured. SI Sunil Kumar Mandal of CRPF 193 battalion and jawan Parth Pratim Day were injured in the IED blast planted earlier by Naxalites to target security forces in the forest hilly area around Vangram Marangponga under Chotanagra police station in Saranda of West Singhbhum district.
Giving information in this regard, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar gave detailed information
He said that top leaders of the banned CPI (Maoist) Naxalite organization Misir Besra, Anmol, etc. are roaming in Saranda for subversive activities with their squad members.
On receiving information about this, a joint operation team of various teams of Chaibasa Police, Cobra, Jharkhand Jaguar and CRPF battalions has been formed and the operation is being conducted continuously.
In light of reliable information received in this regard, a special joint operation has been started from March 4 in the forest hilly area bordering Chotanagra and Jaraikela police station.
Naxalite Attack in Saranda: An explosion happened at this time
During the operation on Saturday, between 02.30 and 02.45 pm, an IED planted earlier by the Naxalites to target the security forces in the forest hilly area around Vangram Marangponga under Chotanagra police station exploded.
SI, GD Sunil Kumar Mandal and HC, GD Parth Pratim Day of CRPF 193 battalion were injured due to which. The condition of the injured officer and personnel is stable.
The police force took immediate action and with the help of Police Headquarters, Jharkhand, Ranchi and CRPF Jharkhand Sector, Jharkhand Ranchi, after immediate first aid through helicopter, the injured officer and personnel have been sent to Ranchi for higher treatment. The ongoing anti-Naxal operation is continuing.
