Netaji’s 125th Birth Anniversary Will Be Celebrated

Netaji’s 125th birth anniversary will be celebrated with pomp, a high-level committee constituted under the chairmanship of Shah.

A high-level committee has been formed to outline the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the great freedom fighter and founder of Azad Hind Fauj.

The committee constituted under the chairmanship of Home Minister Amit Shah includes historians and members of Bose’s family as well as prominent people associated with Azad Hind Fauj.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, celebrations will start from Netaji’s 125th birth anniversary next month on 23 January which will continue throughout the year.

A senior home ministry official said that the 125th birth anniversary celebrations of Subhash Chandra Bose would be held in Kolkata and Delhi as well as all the places in the country and abroad that would be related to Bose and Azad Hind Fauj.

He said that the High-Level Committee would meet soon, in which the programs would be finalized.

Obviously, it is a committee of the government but the time is special. Assembly elections are due in Bengal in May next year. Shah is leading the campaign on behalf of the BJP.

He has visited Bengal twice in the last month. On the other hand, he will also chair the committee at the government level. It can be said indirectly that the BJP has entrusted the responsibility of Bengal win to Shah.

Keep in mind that the Modi government has taken many decisions since the beginning, remembering Subhash Chandra Bose and his contribution to the freedom movement.

These include taking the confidential documents related to Subhash Chandra Bose public and establishing a museum on his life in the Red Fort of Delhi.

Apart from this, the government has also decided to have a light and sound show based on the life of Subhash Chandra Bose at the Victoria Memorial Hall in Kolkata.

During the 75th year celebrations of hoisting the tricolor in Andaman and Nicobar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the name of three islands after Subhash Chandra Bose and Azad Hind Fauj.
