NIA Filed Supplementary Chargesheet Against 2 Narco-Terrorists

NIA filed supplementary charge sheet against two narco-terrorists.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday filed a supplementary charge sheet against two alleged narco-terrorists in a case registered last year after the arrest of a Hizbul Mujahideen operative in Punjab with Rs 29 lakh.

Earlier, a charge sheet was filed against 10 people on October 10 in the Narco-Terror case of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), including Riyaz Ahmed Naikoo, the head of the Kashmir-based terrorist organization.

A National Investigation Agency (NIA) spokesperson said the supplementary charge sheet was filed against narco-terrorist Jaswant Singh alias “Jassa” of Gurdaspur and Gursant Singh alias “Gora” of Tarn Taran.

Adding that the accused person has smuggled heroin from Pakistan. Was involved in the collection, distribution, and sale and also collected and channelized income for HM’s further activities.

The first charge sheet was filed against Bikal Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Ranjit Singh and Maninder Singh (Amritsar), and Ranjit Singh and Jaswant Singh (Gurdaspur) of Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.

The spokesperson said that Iqbal Singh and Jammu of Amritsar All except Zafar Hussain Bhat of Anantnag, Kashmir have been arrested. Iqbal Singh is absconding while Bhat is hiding in Pakistan.

The spokesman said that a case was registered on April 25 last year at Sadar police station in Amritsar following the arrest of Shergojari and recovery of Rs 29 lakh from his possession by Punjab Police.

The NIA began investigating the case on 8 May last year.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused, who had come to Amritsar to collect funds, was a member of the accused terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen and a close associate of Naiku.
