The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted raids at several places in the Kashmir Valley Wednesday.
The raids were carried out in connection with the recent killings in the Kashmir Valley and the conspiracy to carry out terror attacks.
It is being said that the people whose homes or commercial establishments are raided allegedly belong to banned terrorist organizations LeT, JeM, HM, and Al Badr.
These raids are going on in Srinagar, Baramulla, Pulwama, Awantipora, Sopore, and Kulgam. Many people are also likely to be arrested during this period.
Reliable sources said that the NIA has arrested Fahd Ali Wani son of Ali Mohammad Wani and Furqan Imran Khan son of Mohammad Imran Khan, resident of Hamdania Colony Charpora.
Besides the house of Bagh-e-Mehtab, resident of Idgah, Bashir Ahmed Bhat, son of Rashid Ahmed Bhat.
NIA raids 11 places in Kashmir: NIA teams also reached his house in the morning and searched their houses.
No information has been given so far regarding whether any objectionable material was found in the search. NIA sources said that the raids conducted today are going on at eleven places in Kashmir.
Of these, four are operating in Srinagar, two in Baramulla and Awantipora, one each in Pulwama, Sopore, and Kulgam.
It has also been informed that on the 13th of this month, the NIA had arrested 4 accused in this case.
These embody Waseem Ahmed Sofi resident of Chattabal Srinagar, Tariq Ahmed Dar resident of Shergarhi Srinagar.
Bilal Ahmed Mir alias Bilal Fufu resident of Parimpora Srinagar, and Tariq Ahmed Bafunda resident of Rajouri Kadal Srinagar.
It is being told that the ongoing raids in Srinagar are being done on the basis of the interrogation of these accused. All four are said to be related to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
