An NIA official said that the residences of the arrested accused Abdullah and his associates located in Thanjavur, Madurai, Theni, and Tirunelveli districts were searched.

NIA raids at six places: People were incited to wage war against India.

In April, a complaint was filed with Theppakulam police station alleging that Abdullah had posted provocative messages on Facebook inciting people to wage war against India on religious grounds.

Thus the unity, security, and sovereignty of India were threatened. In this case, Tamil Nadu Police had registered an FIR in Madurai and later it was taken over by the NIA.

During the search, 22 digital devices including mobile phones, hard disks, memory cards, pen drives, laptops, and more were found indicating the crime. Several booklets containing

CBI should take action against officers guilty in ISRO espionage cases, Supreme Court will not monitor.

In the case of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayan, the Supreme Court asked the CBI to complete the investigation in this case and take action as per law.

When the FIR has been registered, the law will take its own course. The Supreme Court said that after the FIR is registered, the CBI should conduct its own investigation.

CBI should take legal action against the accused based on its FIR and investigation.

Hearing the matter, a bench of Justices AM Khanwilkar and Sanjiv Khanna said, “They (CBI) cannot proceed against you (accused) on the basis of the report alone.

They have to investigate, collect the material and then proceed according to the law. Ultimately the investigation will be done. The report cannot be the basis for your prosecution.’

The bench said this during the hearing when a lawyer appearing for one of the accused requested that the report of the committee be shared with them as CBI has relied heavily on it.

Nothing will turn on the report. The report is only preliminary information. Ultimately, the CBI will investigate, which will have its results.
